Fireplaces are the best. I have just recently moved into a new property that came equipped with a fireplace and at first I didn’t really think about it and just took it for granted as another of the homes quirks if you will. Now however, I cannot imagine not having one, it is the best source of warmth and has become the real focal point of the living room meaning that as a family we spend less time eyes glued to the TV which is nice! In fact some evening we forget it is on at all and just spend the evening talking and basking in the comforts of the fireplace. It is such a lovely feature that now I would really hate to give up or lose. I really think it makes our house a home. I vow never to move to a house that doesn’t have one as I love them so much!
